  3. I was at Wal-mart and they have almost the same TV but its 60,000 to 1 contrast for $1,700.00 plus tax and you got to deliver it yourself and carry it up the stairs. This is 70,000 to 1 has the touch of color and look for the discount code and you might get up to another $150 off. I got the code for $50 off. I ordered it on Friday and got it the following Friday. The guy in charge of the trucking Co as always don’t know anything cause he got the job with a college degree. But the trucker knew it all. He made me sign papers that were SOP that the remote, got blue screen and no damage after they took it out of the box and said to save box and put it together and carried it upstairs and we got blue screen. The College guy didn’t know or understand the logistics of seeing it working before they left and getting me to sign off. You really should give that job to a senior truck driver. Who cares if his parents spent 1/4 million for him to drink his way through college? I only make that comment cause he had the nerve to act like he was above the delivery men and misinformed me and could have lost my business.

I couldn’t even find the speakers so I already had my sound going though a fiber optic cable to a 7.1 Yamaha 700 watt receiver. But as I turned up the sound I could hear, sound coming from somewhere on the TV to. So I wanted to see if the sound was in sync. My old TV wasn’t. So I was so happy to see it was. Now I got 9 speakers of surround. From two surround amps. Yea it’s insane, but sounds full bodied in the room. I had a old 3000 to 1 contrast ratio High definition TV, that I always complained about not seeing the difference. What I think that TV was, is a hard sell to put HD in something that couldn’t handle all the HD and charge me $27.000 back in the day, for it. So if you read this, and can figure out what I say. You’ll know to buy it ASAP. My old TV was single DVI cable or component cables. This has 3 HDMI inputs on the back and one on the side. 2 components with primitive RCA audios for those. And just for fun, you can connect your PC to the back to. You also get 15 month warranty, and Samsung never leaves me hanging on the phone and they do in house service. Good warranty service as good as Honda care, but that’s another story. Don’t get the one at Wal-Mart this one is better, Amazon is the better service. There is no reason to take it back to Wally world, Samsung will do in house service if you have a problem. Sure my neighbors hate me, for being so smart. We all have no idea why people would want Plasma to. Nobody of authority can answer that.

  5. Got th television in great shape. Was informed that he could only drop it off and not help in anyway. If I had ordered from Amazon he could help…but I thought I did. No assistance from Crutchfield deliveries? BTW I am in a 3/4 cast on my dominant arm. Thanks alot for the help. No more tv’s from Crutchfield…

On the point of the TV…best purchase I have made in years. It is replacing an old 42″ Samsung DLP that I got in 2005 and the differences are like night and day. Everything is sharper and easier to focus on. This is outstanding as I have my computer hooked to my TV with an HDMI cable. The changeover makes everything look brand new. Time to play some more games…nm I don’t have the use of my right hand either…

  6. Like many have mentioned, the picture quality is excellent as well as the color/contrast. The 60hz refresh rate is not as severe as a handicap as some has mentioned. I watch mostly sports, which is where this issue seems to tested the most. All in all, a nice LCD for the price and certainly better than the 40″ Sony I had before.
