  2. Just bought this from Amazon…wanted to put it on an existing wall mount…missing screws needed to do so..were not in Panasonic box…do not know if oversight on their part, or intentional so you have to buy their brand? So, have not turned it on as of yet..

  3. I bought this tv for my bedroom. It is very dark for starters. My old non panel tv use to light up my room and have great color. This one has very dim and dull color. The sound is truly what bothers me the most. With no sound in my room you have to turn it up to 40 to hear it and then it still isn’t clear when the people talk softly on tv. I truly expected this tv to be as good as the 50″ I bought but it is not. It is my first LED display tv so maybe it is normal. I do not recommend this tv.

  4. I KNEW [...] GAVE A VERY GOOD RATING .. I WAS IMPRESSED BY THE TC-L32S1 .. (MY LAST PURCHASE WAS THE SAMSUNG LN- 4053H HDTV .. )I USE COMCAST CABLE FROM THE WALL TO SET .. (NO BOXES)I WAS VERY PLEASED W/ SD DISPLAYED OVER TC-L32S1 LCD HDTV .. I’M STILL VERY SORE FROM THE SAMSUNG BD-P 1200 FAILURE AFTER A FIREWARE UPGRADE FROM SAMSUNG ..(RENDERING MY $500.PLAYER NON-OPERATIONAL) >> (( IF PANASONIC IS UP TO JOB , IT SEEMS THAT IT’S SKILLFUL ENOUNGH TO MAKE SAMSUNG #2. )) << SAMSUNG COULD NOT OF BEEN OUTDONE BY HITLER IF HE HAD DIRECTED EARLY Blu-ray CAMPAIGN PLAYER TO UNSUSPECTING CONSUMERS .. I’M VERY IMPRESSED BY THE ABOVE UNIT ..

  5. I expected a good product from Panasonic, but this was even better. The sound issue that other reviewers disliked must have been corrected, since I found the sound levels to be perfect. The A.I. default must have been reset, since I changed it and got the weak sound mentioned. Of course I changed it back.

I use this in a bedroom, where it replaced a 19″ CRT set, and the difference was incredible. The viewing angle for this TV is unbelievable.

One of the features that I insisted on was a timer, since this is my alarm clock. This baby has 5 programmable timers. These timers also answer one minor complaint of at least one reviewer. True, the sleep timer only has 30, 60 and 90 settings, but if you use one of the other timers and just set an off time, you have unlimited sleep time, to the minute.

    To summarize:

Pros- Great picture, flexible timers, very versatile set.

    Cons- none found so far.

Got this set at 6ave Electronics through Amazon. Great deal, super fast shipping, well packaged. Amazon delivers the deals.

  6. Ok, I was slow in going away from the old box tv’s into the new (well, not so new anymore) flat panel HD TVs. I purchased 2 of these, and they were delivered today. This review is not going to go into specifications or features, just my very first time impressions.

Setting it up was easy. The most difficult part was the screws kept falling into the hole area, and we’d have to turn the tv over to get it to drop out.

This tv is replacing a 21 or 22 inch old tv, the boxy kind that you can’t find anymore. My cats used to sit on top of it, now they can’t :)

I read reviews before buying this one. I’ve actually been toying with buying one for the past year and a half. I always held back because, well, the tv I had (it’s in my bedroom) worked just fine. Then my son asked for one, and earned the right to get a tv in his room, so I started really looking. I read the reviews that commented on the sound. So when I placed the order, I was hesitant, but knew that Amazon has an awesome return policy.

We got the stand on the TV, and set it on the tv stand I had from my old tv. This TV sticks out over the sides a little bit, maybe 2 inches on either side, but I knew that would happen. However, it’s not an issue at all. Plugged it in, plugged in my Directv box to it (no HDMI cable yet, those arrive tomorrow). Turned it on. Took me about 5 minutes to realize that I had not plugged the Directv into the TV input, but into another input. Then I got a picture. Wow!

I have been missing out! I actually was watching a show I recorded when I decided to switch the tv’s out, so I hit pause. Moved old tv to closet, put new tv up, and realized I was missing part of the screen on my old tv!!! As a person with low vision, I’m already enjoying this.

It is going to take getting used to the screen though, I’m so used to the old cumbersome tv’s that this is a change to be sure.

As for the sound? I have it on right now, have the volume on 7, and it’s plenty loud for me. Granted I’m rather close to it, about 3 feet away, but my son commented that he could hear it from his bedroom, which is down the hallway.

Overall, for what I want for this, this is a great TV. Now to just get the HDMI cables, upgrade to HD on my satellite (happens Saturday!), and plug in the blu-ray dvd player I got, and I think I’m going to become more of a couch potato!
