Bought this cable to avoid having to haul my PC through the house to enjoy streaming media (Hulu, etc.). This cable is well built with average-quality connectors and average sheathing. Despite its minimal shielding (if any?) I do not hear any buzzing and in fact there is no discernible audio loss between this and the 6′ cable I had been using. Definitely recommend.

If you went to Best Buy, Radio Shack or some other electronics store to get something like this I am sure you would pay at least $20 and probably more like $30 or more. This is great value for what you are getting. Nothing fancy about the cable, no super RF insulation or gold plated contacts, but if all you need is a really long 3.5mm mini-jack cable, this is what you need and at a good price. I use mine run audio from my satellite radio to an FM transmitter in my apartment. Works fine and better then a lot of more expensive options.

I knew that it would be too good to be true, but this cable really isn’t worth even the low price Amazon offers it for.
The cable is incredibly thin, and was completely worthless when hooked up to my stereo receiver. It was evident that the cable was minimally shielded at best, and the amplifier spit out a terrible buzzing.
Spend more money and go with a better cable. Cables to Go makes a great cable that’s not unreasonably priced (avoid Monster Cables at all costs!). Upon purchasing a cable from a different company that was significantly thicker and better shielded, the buzzing is non-existent and I can now easily hook up my laptop to my stereo receiver.
Avoid this cable!!
